Resourcing Group are working with a global civil construction business, recruiting a Project Manager to join their Wastewater division in Jacksonville, FL.

The Project Manager holds key responsibility for managing design/build, construction management and construct projects from assignment through to completion, being accountable for all construction related activities.

The Infrastructure & Transportation division has a mission of improving quality of life by designing and building sustainable facilities to better communities. Among other projects, they deliver architecture, engineering and construction for public facilities including schools, hospitals, cities and water authorizes, as well as innovative projects within aviation and maritime transportation markets.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Assists project directors in responding to RFP's including the preparation of conceptual estimates, schedules and other proposal documents, participating in presentations if and when required.
  • Monitor the progress of design documents, participating in design review meetings and provide input regarding scope and cost changes.
  • Prepare detailed estimates and cost control systems.
  • Hold responsibility for preparing bid packages, analyzing bids, qualifying sub-contractors and awarding subcontracts and major purchase orders.
  • Plan and schedule the project with input from the superintendent and subcontractors. Managing the project schedule, conduct site meetings and prepare updated schedules.
  • Be responsible for project cost control including labor cost reports, summary cost reports and project summaries.
  • Coordinate requirements of governing authorities for permits, inspections and final approval of the project.
  • Manage client relations, including progress meetings, periodic reports, change orders and client inquiries.
  • Prepare requisitions for payment and other project invoicing. Maximize project cash flow through invoicing and collections.
  • Prepare and secure owner acceptance of contract change orders. Issue modifications to subcontracts and purchase orders after acceptance and update budget in summary cost report.
  • Manage payments to subcontractors, including reviewing schedules of value, pay requisitions, invoices and insurance coverage.
  • Manage subcontractor and supplier performance, if necessary.
  • Review project progress, quality and safety. Work with superintendent and make corrections to comply with policy and procedures.
  • Effectively manages project close-out tasks and any warranty work.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or construction management or equivalent plus three years minimum in construction management
  • Bachelors or better in Construction Management or related field.
